2002 Season
State Meet - Kevin Lynch completed his run through the state series with a 4th place finish in the 400 meter run. Kevin ran a time of 49.01 (2nd fastest in school history ) to advance to the finals. In the final he ran a time of 49.68 to finish 4th. This was the best finish by a Wheeling athlete in the 400 in school histroy.

Kevin was defeated only a couple of times during the season. He road to the state meet included several invitational titles, conference champion and sectional champion.

The Boys 2002 season was one of the most successful ones in recent history. The boys won the McHenry Relays and the F/S MSL Conference championships during the season.

A solid group of varsity athletes teamed with a strong sophomore class made a strong run through our dual meet schedule, winning our first three meets, and giving the defending conference champions, Buffalo Grove, a strong challenge losing 78-68.
