2001 Boys Cross Country Results

2001 Season
The boys finished the dual meet schedule with a 4-2 record. The two losses were both by just a couple of points.We won the Forest City Inv. and Wildcat Inv. titles during the season.

2001 MSL Conference Champions
We began the run towards the state meet by defending our MSL Conference Championship from last year.

Regionals Champions: The boys walked away with a 22 point victory over New Trier. The boys won their 5th straight regional title

Sectionals: The boys advanced to the state meet for the 6th straight year. The boys placed 20-23-26-35-41 in the sectional, an 18 second split, but came up one point short of the sectional crown.

State: The boys state meet did not turn out the way we had hoped. The boys finished 17th out of 32 teams. A couple of the boys ran personal bests, but the outcome was less then we had expected. Of the 7 who ran. we return 6 of the athletes. We grew up and gained valuable experience this past season. We can now work to put that experience to work for the 2002 season.
