Hatshepsut, Hammurabi, Assurbanipal, Nebuchadnezzar, Cyrus the Great, King David, and Alexander the Great were all influential leaders in the ancient world, 5000 B.C. to 300 B.C. They impacted thousands of people in their time. Each had his own strengths and weaknesses, his own style in wielding awesome power. You are a historical judge with the responsibility of choosing the overall best leader of ancient times from the fore mentioned list.

 Conclusion

Leadership is a skill that can be studied and mastered in antiquity and in the modern age. The same successes and mistakes ancient leaders made often occur with our current world leaders. Those who study the past can learn from it. Leaders who place their personal lusts ahead of their people often led them into misery and ruin. What sort of leader are you? What sort of a leader do you want to be? I challenge you to lead your group with a noble vision, placing their well-being ahead of your own. Great leaders are willing to challenge, as well as embrace, their followers to seek the higher path.

"Without a vision the people shall perish."
